Hyderabad: A dance trainer, who allegedly blackmailed and extorted money from several women after collecting their nude pictures and videos, was arrested by the Meerpet police on Saturday.
According to the police, Mohd Aslam (22), who worked as a dance trainer at an engineering college, befriended a woman lecturer and collected her nude photographs. He then demanded Rs. 3 lakh from the victim, who paid Rs. 10,000 and approached the police.
“During interrogation, it came to light that he had blackmailed several girls pursuing different courses at the institution and extorted money from them in a similar way,” said Sunpreet Singh, DCP, LB Nagar, adding that two more cases were registered against Aslam in different police stations as two more victims had come forward and lodged complaints against him.
