Hyderabad: For the second consecutive day, daughters proved lucky for people, who participated in the Dasara Shopping Bonanza of Namasthe Telangana and Telangana Today.
On Wednesday, it was the turn of P Mani, serving as a police constable in KPHB Police Station, who won a TV set while shopping for her daughter’s annaprasanna. On Tuesday, Kota Nagesh had dropped in the Bonanza coupons on his daughter Kota Manvitha’s name and won a TV set too.
The fifth lucky draw of the Dasara Shopping Bonanza was held at Freedom House, Road No 5, Banjara Hills on Wednesday. Telangana Today Editor K Sreenivas Reddy, General Manager (Advertising), Namasthe Telangana & Telangana Today, Surender Rao and P Chandrashekhara Reddy , senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing), Gemini Edibles and Fats India Pvt Ltd (Freedom Oils) presided over the event.
“Namasthe Telangana and Telangana Today on the occasion of Bathukamma are organising a Shopping Bonanza. I am happy that Freedom Oil is associated with this Bonanza that has brought back happiness through shopping, ahead of festivals,” Chandrashekhara Reddy said.
Mani, speaking to Telangana Today, said she was overwhelmed with joy. “Receiving a gift on the occasion of Bathukamma due to my daughter is a positive omen ahead of Navratri. My daughter, Vaishavi’s Annaprassana is scheduled on Friday and we went to shop at the CMR Shopping Mall in Chintal ahead of the ritual,” she said.
“Both me and my husband are serving as constables. While filling the form itself, I was confident that my daughter would bring luck for our family,” she said.
The second winner was Bojja Rangaiah, who won a mobile phone, while A Srikanth got a gift voucher. The other two winners who won gift hampers were Vijaya Laxmi and Sri Ram.
Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils and KLM Fashion Mall are the title sponsors and others associated include Celekt Mobiles, CMR Shopping Mall and Cafe Niloufer.
