Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan slammed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accusing him of lowering the dignity of the office through his abusive and uncivil political language. He said that using disrespectful language against political opponents holding constitutional positions was unacceptable and set a poor precedent in public life.

In a strongly worded statement, Sravan said the Chief Minister’s recent remarks against BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao showed arrogance born out of power and a clear disregard for democratic values. He criticised attempts to portray the BRS chief, who played a key role in the Telangana statehood movement, through a caste lens for political gain.

“This approach is dangerous and divisive and is aimed at inciting social tensions ahead of the municipal elections,” he said.

The BRS leader also questioned the priorities of the Congress government, stating that instead of addressing public issues, the ruling party was resorting to personal attacks and political theatrics. He warned that such rhetoric would invite public backlash and damage Telangana’s political culture. He asserted that the people of the State would deliver a political verdict against the Congress government’s style of functioning. “You will pay for this vulgarity and abusive garbage politics,” he remarked.
