Hyderabad: Tearing into Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for allegedly attempting to spread a disruptive agenda in Osmania University, BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan on Thursday described the Chief Minister’s message to students on the campus as “venomous, chaotic and incoherent”. He said Revanth Reddy had desecrated the campus legacy with his personal attacks on K Chandrashekar Rao.
Addressing a media conference here on Thursday, Sravan, an alumnus and former student leader of Osmania University, expressed disappointment that Revanth Reddy had used the prestigious campus to spread hatred against BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. “Even tying a stone to a dog’s tail didn’t straighten it,” he remarked, implying that the Chief Minister’s behaviour remains unchanged. Sravan ridiculed Revanth Reddy’s claims of hailing from the Nallamala forests and playing with wild animals and questioned their authenticity.
He said the Chief Minister had no moral right to speak on the Telangana movement, alleging that “betrayers” like Revanth Reddy were responsible for the deaths of people during the agitation. The BRS leader slammed the Chief Minister for allegedly weakening Gurukul schools, diluting BC reservations and opposing English education at Osmania University, despite Telangana’s IT success depending on it. He ridiculed Revanth Reddy’s vision of a three-trillion-dollar economy with what he called a “three-rupee mindset” and questioned appointments at the Skill and Sports Universities.
Sravan declared that “in Revanth’s regime, Telangana is not rising – it is ravaging”, and advised the Chief Minister to stop attacking K Chandrashekar Rao.
