Date for submission of application for new medical colleges extended

The applications from medical colleges will now be accepted between November 2 and 30 instead of the earlier deadline of October 16 to November 15.

Hyderabad: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the time period of submission of application for establishment of new medical colleges and increase or renewal of UG seats in the existing medical colleges for the academic session 2021-22. The applications from medical colleges will now be accepted between November 2 and 30 instead of the earlier deadline of October 16 to November 15.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and placement of the draft amendments to the establishment of New Medical College Regulations and Minimum Standards Requirements for annual MBBS admissions, which is expected to be notified shortly, the NMC had decided to amend the time period to submit the applications.

The Secretary, NMC, Dr. R.K.Vats said that applications for the academic year 2021-22 will not be accepted offline and they should be only submitted online. The details on submitting online applications will be notified in the coming days.
