Day-long mock drill held to create awareness on forest fires in Asifabad
A mock drill on forest fire control was conducted in Vempalli village of Kumram Bheem district on Monday to create awareness among the public. Officials from multiple departments participated and stressed the need to protect forests and maintain ecological balance.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A day-long mock drill on controlling forest fires was organised in the forests of Vempalli village on Monday. District Forest Officer Ch Balamani was the chief guest at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Balamani said protecting forests from fires was everyone’s responsibility. She stated that the mock drill was conducted to create awareness among the public on how to respond and control a forest fire. She sought cooperation from the public to protect the ecological balance and prevent environmental damage caused by fires.
Officials from the Fire, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Revenue, Panchayat Raj, police, veterinary and several other departments took part in the event. Around 80 people from Vempalli village were also present. District Fire Officer Suresh Kumar, SDRF Commandant Nagabhusanam and Kagaznagar FDO Appaiah were among those who attended the drill.
