Hyderabad: Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police, Secunderabad Zone, Rakshitha Krishna Murthy, carried out a formal inspection of the Chilkalguda Police Station on Monday to review policing standards and preparedness.

During the visit, she inspected patrol cars and Blue Colts vehicles, checking the condition of drill kits, operational status of tablets and Papillon devices, and overall vehicle maintenance. She also reviewed grave crime case diaries and records of rowdy sheeters.

Addressing the staff, the DCP cautioned against corruption, stressed courteous behaviour with the public, and directed officers to promptly attend Dial 100 calls and register FIRs without delay based on the merits of complaints.

She further instructed continuous surveillance on habitual offenders and emphasised quality investigation in POCSO, cybercrime, and property offence cases to ensure timely filing of charge sheets and convictions.
