Nalgonda: Former Chairman of Telangana State Legislative Council Gutha Sukender Reddy on Saturday challenged the Congress and BJP to declare their chief ministerial candidate if they were confident of winning the next Assembly elections in the State.
Addressing the media here, Sukender Reddy said both the Congress and BJP have no political ground in the State in view of the image of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao among the public. Leaders of opposition parties have been deliberately indulging in mudslinging against the Chief Minister and his family members for the sake of publicity. The opposition leaders should not forget that the Chief Minister’s son K T Rama Rao and daughter K Kavitha also actively participated in the Telangana statehood movement. “The leaders of opposition parties who never participated in the movement and are now creating hurdles on the path of development of Telangana State and have no moral right to criticise the TRS government,” he said.
Taking exception to the comments made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah against the TRS, he said the BJP leaders were trying to create hatred in the minds of Hindus against the Muslims by projecting the MIM as a communal party. Referring to the comments made by TPCC president Revanth Reddy against the Chief Minister, he alleged that Revanth was the brand ambassador of blackmailing.
