Suryapet: Stating that the issue of defection of MLAs was nearing resolution, Minister for IT and Information Technology D Sridhar Babu on Wednesday said the matter was under the Speaker’s purview, and that the MLAs had disclosed all details in their affidavits. “The process is being handled transparently. More details will be known once the Speaker’s office completes its review of the affidavits,” he added.
Addressing a large gathering after unfurling the tricolour as part of the ‘Praja Palana Dinotsavam’, he said the integration of Hyderabad State with the Indian Union was being celebrated in true spirit. He denied allegations of irregularities in the Group I examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commission.
Turning to agricultural issues, the Minister addressed concerns about urea availability. “We are distributing only the urea supplied by the Central government,” he said, while urging the Centre to ensure adequate supply to meet Telangana’s agricultural needs.
