Peddapalli: A degree student was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Vennampalli of Kalwasrirampur mandal on Sunday.
According to police, Dama Tharun (19), a native of Gangaram of Kalwasrirampur mandal, was studying degree in Peddapalli. Two persons from the same village, Nune Shiva and Nune Anil, made a phone call to Tharun and picked him up in a two-wheeler from the latter’s residence on Friday.
As the victim failed to return home, family members on Saturday lodged a complaint with police against Shiva and Anil. The body of Tharun was found on the outskirts of Vennampalli village on Sunday.
Villagers, who found the body, informed the police who rushed to the spot and began investigation after registering the case.
Tharun’s parents Dama Mondaiah and Padma alleged that Shiva and Anil along with others killed their son. Villagers said that Thuran was in love with a girl from the same village. The girl’s family was opposed to their relationship, and they killed Tharun, they said.
SI Venkateshwar said that Thuran was found dead under suspicious circumstances and reasons for the death would be known during the course of investigations.
