Jagtial: Upset by parents’ refusal for marriage, lovers committed suicide by hanging at Hyderpalli in Jagtial mandal. The decomposed bodies of the couple were found at a cattle shed in the village on Monday.

The bodies were decomposed beyond recognition as the lovers hanged themselves from a boulder in a cattle shed about ten to twelve days ago, police suspended.

According to police, Naluwala Madhu (20) of Hyderpalli and Illeni Soumya (20), belonging to Mission Compound of Jagitial town, were studying degree final year at a private degree college at Jagitial and were in a relationship for the last few years.

However, Soumya’s family members refused to their marriage and took an undertaking in writing from Madhu assuring them that he will not meet Soumya again. Dejected by this, the duo decided to end their life.

While Soumya went away from her house on November 4, Madhu was also reported missing from the same day. After searching for the woman, family members lodged a missing complaint with Jagitial police.

As a foul smell was emanating from the area, neighbours found the two bodies of the lovers hanging from a boulder at the cattle shed of Madhu and alerted the police.

After receiving information, Circle Inspector, Jagitial Rural, Rajesh and Sub-Inspector Satish visited the spot and began investigation after registering the case. Bodies were shifted to Jagitial hospital for postmortem.

Madhu was staying along with her stepmother as his parents had died long ago. Meanwhile, the family of Soumya has been shifted to Jagitial from Mallapur of Rajanna-Sircilla district after the death of her father a few years ago.
