New Delhi: A video showing police personnel and a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) driver consuming liquor inside a Police Control Room (PCR) vehicle has gone viral on social media, prompting departmental action against those involved. The video, which surfaced on social media platforms, shows staff consuming liquor while inside the PCR vehicle. The footage quickly went viral, with several social media users demanding strict action against the personnel and questioning the conduct of the staff while on duty.

“Taking cognisance of the viral video, an enquiry into the alleged incident has already been conducted. The erring staff, including a Delhi Police Head Constable and a DTC driver, have been identified. The Head Constable has been placed under suspension, while the DTC driver has been attached to the Lines. Further departmental action for misconduct is being initiated by DTC,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (PCR) in a post on X said. The post further read that Delhi Police does not endorse or tolerate any form of misconduct. Appropriate action will be taken against those found responsible.
