Hyderabad: A software professional who tested positive for Covid ended her life by hanging at Alwal on Sunday night.

B Alekhya (28) who fell ill last week took a Covid test, the result of which came positive. “She slipped into depression after coming to know about it. On Sunday night, she hanged herself in her house,” said Alwal police. On information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Gandhi mortuary for postmortem examination. A case was registered.

Salesman dies by suicide

In another incident, a salesman died by suicide at his house in Bhavaninagar on Sunday night.

Mohd Azharuddin (38) who lived along with his family at Talabkatta, left his house saying he was going to a hospital. Instead, he went to another building that also belongs to him and slit his throat with a knife. His relatives found him in a pool of blood late in the night and informed the police. The family members told the police that Azharuddin faced financial problems and might have ended his life over it. A case was registered.
