Depressed over father’s death, man ends life in Hyderabad

The police shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy, after which the body was handed over to the family

Hyderabad: Depressed over the death of his father, a 34 year-old man ended his own life at Jahanuma in Falaknuma on Sunday night.

According to the police, the man Mir Osman Ali (34), who lived with his family at Jahanuma, went into his room in the night on Sunday and did not come out. Later in the night, his family members found him hanging to the ceiling fan in the room and informed the police. His father had passed away on Saturday night due to health issues. The family suspects that Osman Ali might have ended his life after slipping into depression over the death of his father, the Falaknuma police said.

Osman Ali is survived by his wife and three children. The police shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy, after which the body was handed over to the family. A case was registered by the police.
