Hyderabad: Reportedly depressed over staying alone and not getting married, a young man committed suicide by hanging at his house located in Rajiv Gruhakalpa, Bachupally here on Saturday midnight.

Police said B Bhavani Prasad (21), an auto-rickshaw driver, who lost his parents in his childhood, was living alone as his elder brother staying elsewhere due to his work. As he was alone, he is suspected to have slipped into depression.

The neighbours, who found Prasad dead on Sunday afternoon, informed his brother who rushed to the house of Prasad where he hanged himself from the ceiling fan. He also left a suicide note saying nobody was responsible for his death and that he was depressed over his life and ended it. “In the note, he had also mentioned that the house which he had bought and stayed in, should be given to his brother after him,” police said.

The Bachupally police are investigating.
