While Arijit Singh is known for crooning romantic songs, his latest track ‘Desh Mere’ will evoke patriotism within all of us. The song will be a part of the upcoming film ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’.
Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to make the announcement. The actor wrote, “In the soulful voice of #ArjitSingh, a song that will evoke patriotism within you. #DeshMere, out now – https://bit.ly/DeshMere-Bhuj #BhujThePrideOfIndia releasing on 13th August only on @DisneyplusHSVIP #DisneyPlusHotstarMultiplex @duttsanjay #SonakshiSinha @AmmyVirk #NoraFatehi (sic).”
‘Desh Mere’ has been composed by Arko and penned by Manoj Muntashir. The song is a soulful melody that lasts 3 minutes and 23 seconds.
Directed by Abhishek Dhudhaiya, ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ is based on the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. The film tells the story of how 300 women from a village worked hard to build the Bhuj runway, contributing majorly to India’s win. Abhishek, who earlier directed many television shows, brings forth the story of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnic (played by Ajay Devgn) and the women from the village of Madhapar.
The second trailer from the film was released on August 3. Much like the first one, it shows brave soldiers fighting for their nation.
