Hyderabad: BRS MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy has strongly criticised the Congress government for its inefficiency and failure to address the pressing issues surrounding the Devadula irrigation project.
Speaking at the Assembly media point, he accused the Congress Ministers of making empty promises and lacking the ability to fulfil them. Reddy pointed out that Congress Ministers had visited Devadula by helicopter a few days ago to make the project motors operational. However, the motors remained non-functional, leaving farmers in distress.
He described their actions as a display of incompetence, stating that the Ministers were more focused on blaming the previous government than solving the current problems.
He pointed out that the Congress Ministers lacked awareness about the Devadula project, which was initiated during the Telangana movement under K Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership. Despite having all the necessary resources, the current government has failed to carry out essential operations including repairs. This resulted in extensive damage to the standing crops.
