Medak: Chairman of Sri Vishnu Educational Societies K Vishnuraju advised students to use social media and artificial intelligence responsibly.
Addressing the students during the 30th Induction Day programme organised at the BVRIT, Narsapur campus on Monday, he underlined the importance of using technology as a tool to support learning rather than as a substitute for human thinking and creativity.
Talking at length about changing technologies and their impact on human life, he cautioned students against believing or spreading fake news. Vishnuraju further urged them to develop multidisciplinary skills and strive for excellence through perseverance and dedication.
On the occasion, students from various engineering disciplines who secured outstanding ranks in the engineering entrance examinations and joined BVRIT were felicitated.
Vice-chairman of the society Ravichandran Rajagopal called upon the students to continuously upgrade their skills in line with rapid technological advancements. He advised them to complement classroom learning with projects, internships, and industry exposure while building strong professional networks with industry experts, alumni, and senior students. He also urged students to use social media positively and productively.
The meritorious students were presented with books as a mark of encouragement.
Senior students warmly welcomed the freshers and encouraged them to actively participate in various student clubs and professional societies to enhance their overall development.
Alumni members Satvik and Vijay shared their experiences and inspired the new students to make the best use of the opportunities available at BVRIT.
