Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Monday said development was the single point agenda of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the State and in Siddipet municipality.
“A vote for TRS candidates in Siddipet Municipality elections would mean supporting me, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the slew of development works and welfare schemes initiated by the TRS government,” he said.
Speaking at an election rally in the town, the Minister said the administration had shown the way for the development by taking up various development works in the town during the past seven years.
Saying that they have taken up underground drainage works with an outlay of Rs 300 crore, Rao has said that they have completed over 80 per cent of works already. Stating that the drinking water issue used to be a day order before Telangana State was formed, Rao has said that they will boast of supplying drinking water to each and every household without any interruption today. To ease out the traffic congestion in the town, the Minister has said that they had built Siddipet by-pass road besides installing flood lights.
Appealing the voters to just think twice before walking into the polling booth, Rao has said that just vote for the Party which has the ability to bring development. Accusing the Opposition parties of coming to the people when the elections are around, the Minister has said that Bharatiya Janata Party government at Centre and various States is no match to TRS government in launching the welfare and development works.
He has said that the Congress Party had proved a failure since they had ruled the State for a majority of years, but brought no change. MP Medak Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Municipal Chairman K Rajanarsu and others were present.
