Devotees throng Gudem temple in Mancherial on Gurupurnima
Thousands of devotees visited the ancient Sri Satyanarayana Swamy temple in Gudem village, Dandepalli mandal, on Gurupurnima. After taking a holy dip in the Godavari, they offered prayers and performed vratams, seeking blessings and the fulfilment of their wishes

Mancherial: Devotees thronged the ancient Sri Satyanarayana Swamy temple, located on a hillock at Gudem village in Dandepalli mandal, on the occasion of Gurupurnima celebrated on Thursday.
Officials of the shrine said around 5,000 devotees from various parts of not only Mancherial but also the neighbouring Peddapalli and Jagtial districts visited the temple and offered special prayers. They took a holy dip in the Godavari river before having darshan of the presiding deities. Some couples performed the Satyanarayana Swamy vratam for wellbeing and the fulfilment of their desires.
