Devotees, who started arriving at the temple since early in the morning, were seen waiting in serpentine queue lines to have darshan of the presiding deity. Besides offering Kodemokku, pilgrims had darshan of lord Shiva and it took three to four hours for darshan.
The temple authorities are busy in making arrangements for a three-day Maha Shivaratri jatara scheduled to be held from February 28 to March 2 in Vemulawada.
District collector Anurag Jayanthi along with Superintendent of Police Rahul Hegde organized a coordination committee meeting at Vemulwada temple premises on January 29 to discuss arrangements for Maha Shiva ratri jatara.
