Devotees throng Vemulawada temple on Maha Shivaratri
The three-day Maha Shivaratri Jatara commenced on Tuesday. As per tradition, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Deputy Executive Officer offered silk garments to Rajarajeshwara Swamy. Additionally, Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, along with Government Whip Adi Srinivas, presented silk clothes to the presiding deity on behalf of the State government.

Rajanna Sircilla: A large number of devotees thronged Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple, Vemulwada, on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri on Wednesday.
The three-day Maha Shivaratri Jatara had begun on Tuesday. Following the tradition, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Deputy Executive Office presented silk clothes to Rajarajeshwara Swamy. Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar along with Government Whip Adi Srinivas presented silk clothes to the presiding deity on behalf of the State government.
Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, BRS MLC K Kavitha and others had darshan of Lord Shiva and performed special pujas in the shrine. On the other hand, scores of devotees were seen standing in queue lines to have darshan of the presiding deity. Pilgrims had darshan after taking holy dip in the ‘dharmagundam’ (temple tank). On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, temple authorities made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of devotees.
