Speaking on the occasion, the state police chief said that the police station will be constructed with modern technology on par with corporate offices by following the changing trends.

It would help provide instant justice to victims as well as strengthen the friendly police system further, DGP opined and assured to take steps to establish traffic and women’s police stations in Vemulawada besides a new police station building in Bheemaram.

Earlier, the area was a stronghold for Maoist and Janashakthi naxalites. Instead of individuals, police personnel used to move in a battalion in this area.

The then Chandurthi Sub-Inspector died as his vehicle was blasted in the outskirts of Rudrangi, DGP remembered. Now, the area is on the development path as there was no presence of extremists. Talking about the Arrive-Alive programme, Shivadhar Reddy said that bike riders must follow road safety norms and wear helmets and seatbelts.

Collector Garima Agarwal, Superintendent of Police Mahesh B Gite and others participated in the programme.
