‘Dhadak’ turns 3; Ishaan, Janhvi shower love on their special film
A remake of the 2016 Marathi language film ‘Sairat’ by Nagraj Manjule, the romance drama focussed on caste-based discrimination.
‘Dhadak’ was one of the most popular films when it was released – it was the debut movie of Janhvi Kapoor. And it made headlines for her chemistry with co-star Ishaan Khatter. There were even rumours that the duo was dating at the time.
As the film celebrated three years of its release on Tuesday, the lead actors took to their Instagram handles to share some throwback pictures from the sets. “3 years of dhadak!!! Will remain a special one for all of us who worked on it… And to the fans, thank you for all the love that pours in still for the film, I see you all (sic),” wrote Ishaan, along with some pictures.
Janhvi, too, shared some adorable pics from the sets and captioned them, “#Dhadak. Always special. For the people, the memories, the lessons and all of the love (sic).”
‘Dhadak’ was directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Shashank shared a cute picture of Janhvi and Ishaan enjoying some snacks while shooting and wrote, “Love u kids… keep laughing like this forever (sic).”
