‘Annana Thaalaattum’ is the second song to emerge from the Dhanush-starrer action-thriller “Maaran”, after the power-packed ‘Polladha Ulagam’. The sheer emotions attached to the heart-warming sentiment song depicting the beautiful bond of brother and sister, featuring visuals of Dhanush and Smruthi Venkat, can leave anyone with moist eyes. The deeply evocative song which has an uplifting story, which revolves around a brother-sister’s bond, will undoubtedly melt our heart, and takes us back to so many memories of our childhood.
Vivek’s heart-wrenching lyrics combined with G V Prakash Kumar’s beautiful music and Anurag Kulkarni’s soulful voice make this lovely melody beautiful.
Describing a fascinating story, right from the start, the amazing track takes listeners on a complete journey of emotions. Beginning in evocatively layered gliding piano line and flute mix, the music then follows the glistening violin, tabla hooks and gorgeous background harmonies, delivering a song that resonates with the nostalgia.

In the Karthick Naren-directed film, produced by TG Thyagarajan, Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films, Dhanush is playing a journalist’s role, with Malavika Mohanan as a female lead, and Samuthirakani, Master Mahendran and Krishnakumar in important roles. Cinematography is handled by Vivekanand Santhosham and editing by Prasanna GK. The investigative thriller will premiere directly on OTT platform Disney+Hotstar.
