Indian fans of sports’ heartthrob Mahendra Singh Dhoni always seem to look forward to posts shared about the former Indian skipper. However, this time the former Indian cricket captain’s post shared by his Indian Premier League (IPL) team – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) — is spreading like wildfire while triggering a debate among netizens.
In the picture, the cricketer who has been vacationing with his family at Meena Bagh Home in Ratnari, Himachal Pradesh, is seen posing in a maroon t-shirt, wearing a dashing handlebar moustache look. While most of the Dhoni fans were excited and all praise for his new look, the focus of the conversation slowly shifted to an eco-message written on a ‘wooden’ plank beside the cricketer.
“Plant Trees Save Forests” read the wooden plank beside while asking the readers to save trees. CSK captioned the picture: “Planting the right thoughts! Thala #WhistlePodu #Yellove(sic).”
However, fans found the picture to be very ironic as the message was in itself written on a wood plank that comes out of a tree. As the image started drawing backlash, the farmhouse property owners clarified that the message was painted on ‘waste wood’ that was kept for bonfires during the winter.
