Hyderabad: Dhruva Thota and Kheerthi Ganta, with eight points each, emerged champions in boys and girls sections respectively at the UCCF 7th Telangana State Sub-junior Boys and Girls Chess Championship 2022, at the L B Stadium on Tuesday.

The top four performers in boys and girls categories will represent the Telangana State in the upcoming National Sub-junior Boys and Girls Chess Championship.

Top four performers:
Boys: 1 Dhruva Thota (8), 2 Md Bashiq Imrose (7.5), 3 Chidvilash Sai (7), 4 Challa Saharsha (7);

Girls: 1 Kheerthi Ganta (8), 2 Narahari Geethika Hasini (6.5), 3 Gade Sharanya (6), 4 Yashavi Jain (6).
