Diamond ring worth Rs.5 lakh stolen in Hyderabad

The complainant said she had booked a slot seeking service of a beautician on a popular online service provider recently.

Hyderabad: A woman from the MLA Colony in Banjara Hills has approached the police and lodged a complaint alleging her diamond ring worth Rs 5 lakh was stolen.

The complainant said she had booked a slot seeking service of a beautician on a popular online service provider recently. The executives from the service provider had called and informed her of sending a woman beautician.

According to the police, the beautician reached the complainant’s house on Wednesday afternoon and within half-an-hour, applied makeup. The complainant then went to the kitchen to have water and when she returned, the beautician had left. When she checked her purse, the ring was missing.

When the complainant checked the CCTV footage, she found the woman allegedly picking up the ring, putting it in her pocket and leaving.

Based on her complaint on Thursday, the Banjara Hills police booked a case and took up investigation.
