Digvesh Rathi involved in a controversy again
Rathi, who was fined earlier for controversial celebrations after dismissing a batter, got involved with a verbal spat with Abhishek in the eighth over of the SRH innings after Abhishek was caught in the deep for 59.
Hyderabad: Lucknow Super Giants leg-spinner Digvesh Rathi seemed to have developed a passion to be controversial as once again he was engaged in a ‘verbal’ duel with Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma in the IPL league match at Lucknow.
Rathi, who was fined earlier for controversial celebrations after dismissing a batter, got involved with a verbal spat with Abhishek in the eighth over of the SRH innings after Abhishek was caught in the deep for 59.
Digvesh indulged in his customary book-signature celebration after getting Abhishek out but it was apparent that the latter was not happy as the two engaged in a war of words.
TV replays showed that Digvesh gestured towards Abhishek after the dismissal and that could have flared tempers.
For the record, Abhishek scored a 20-ball 59 to ensure a convincing six-wicket win for Sunrisers .
