Telugu filmmaker Sukumar has come forward to set up an oxygen plant at his hometown Kakinada to address the concerns of the Covid-19 patients.
Coming to know about the plight of patients who are struggling to get oxygen supply and oxygen beds nearby, Sukumar has decided to contribute Rs 40 lakhs towards building a DOCS80 Oxygen generator plant.
Sukumar had initially planned to supply oxygen cylinders and concentrators to needy patients. However, the director decided to contribute another Rs 15 lakhs to build an oxygen plant with an intention of generating mass production of oxygen to meet the demand, said Sukumar’s friend Anyam Rambabu, Amalapuram Panchayati Raj DEE.
On the work front, Sukumar’s Pan India film ‘Pushpa’ with Icon Star Allu Arjun is in the shooting phase. The teaser of Pushpa Raj introducing Allu Arjun’s character topped the trending charts and impressed critics, audiences alike.
