Vizianagaram: Minister for Municipal Administration Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday said that the government could not keep quiet if cinema tickets rates were hiked arbitrarily, burdening the people.
Reacting to the allegations of Jana Sena Party supremo and film star Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad on Saturday, the minister said it was the distributors who had sought sale of movie tickets online and wondered why the film star should be worried about it.
Pawan Kalyan had no business to talk listlessly and if there were any issues in the film industry, they could be brought to the notice of the government, he stated.
At Nellore, Minister for Irrigation Anil Kumar Yadav said that some prominent personalities of film industry had discussed with the government on the online ticket portal. “Why is Pawan Kalyan afraid of it and will anybody lose by it? He looks desperate for his political survival. His statement that the YSR Congress government is causing problems to the film industry as he belongs to it, is ridiculous,” he remarked, clarifying that there was no question of the government troubling the film industry.
