Kothagudem: District principal and sessions judge Patil Vasanth inaugurated the digital library at Kothagudem District Bar Association library hall on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the judge said that the opening of the first digital library in Telangana in Kothagudem Bar Association was a good development. The lawyers could improve their professionalism by using the digital library effectively.

Junior lawyers should not waste time and read the judgments regularly in the digital library and thus learn the skills in the profession. Keeping abreast of new rulings, new laws, or changes was highly beneficial for lawyers, he suggested.

The bar association president Lakkineni Satyanarayana said a digital library was a resource where books, articles, case law reports, judgments, statutory sentences and other legal documents were kept online or in electronic form.

It was designed for use by lawyers, judges, and legal educators. They could access legal information anywhere, anytime through their mobile laptops, tablets or smartphones. Lawyers should improve their professional skills by using the digital library, he noted.

Judges Gollapudi Bhanumathi, A Sucharitha, bar association vice president Thota Malleswara Rao, members Md Sadiq Pasha, Sodupatla Praveen Kumar, Dudipala Ravikumar and others were present.
