District-level yoga asanas sports championship held in Mancherial
The seventh district-level yoga asanas sports championship-2026 was held at Trinity High School in Mancherial on Sunday. Organised by the Mancherial District Yogasana Sports Association, the event saw participants win gold, silver and bronze medals across various categories
Mancherial: A day-long seventh district-level yoga asanas sports championship-2026 was held on the premises of Trinity High School here on Sunday. The event was organised by the Mancherial District Yogasana Sports Association (MDYSA).
The MDYSA district President Akkala Thirupathi Varma and secretary Manda Srinvas, in a statement, said that Mathuri Anirup was the winner of the gold medal, while Veldi Dhanush and Janagama Ashwadh Kumar secured silver and bronze medals respectively in the traditional individual (sub-juniors) category for boys by excelling in the competition.
According to the organisers, the winner of the gold medal in the artistic single category was Burla Sai Teja. D Khushi, Shruthi Kunchalahe and Navunuri Vedanshi bagged the first, second and third prizes in the traditional individual category for girls. Chaitra, Thuti Ahalya and Kodi Mahathi clinched gold medals in the rhythmic pair category.
Gold, silver and bronze medal winners in the other categories included M Sai Teja, Mohammad Farooq, Athram Jai Krishna Sai, Chichath Varnitha Sri, Jadi Ankita, Putta Premalatha, Paripelli Rekha, Vaishnavi, Srija, Vishnu Priya, Arshad and Rahul. The winners were congratulated by the members of the association.
