Hyderabad: India’s young paddlers Divyanshi Bhowmick and Ananya Muralidharan clinched the under-15 girls’ doubles title at the WTT Youth Star Contender in Skopje, North Macedonia.

The duo battled past China’s Zhao Wangqi and Liu Ziling in a thrilling five-set encounter. The Indians prevailed 3-2 (11-8, 7-11, 11-8, 6-11, 14-12), securing a significant win for Indian table tennis at the U-15 level.

The Indian contingent also put up strong performances in other categories, finishing as runners-up in both the U-19 and U-15 boys’ singles events.
