HC notice to Centre on pension
A two judge bench of the Telangana High Court comprising Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili last week issued notice to Ministry of Personnel and Training and the Central Administrative Tribunal. A writ petition was filed by former judge of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh High Court. The petitioner said that he was denied of legitimate pensionary benefits for the service rendered since January, 2006 and the denial is being continued. It is viewed that the service rules have been amended and in terms of the same, the pension of Chairman, Vice-Chairman and members who retired after February, 2007 are being paid by adopting the provisions of the High Court judges conditions of service. The matter has been adjourned for further hearing.
