Hyderabad: BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Saturday expressed apprehensions about AIMIM, whose five Bihar legislators refused to utter the name of Hindustan while taking the oath of office, will one day refuse to take the name of Bharat and eventually drive Hindus out of the country.

“When they are just five in Bihar, they express their dislike towards Hindustan, imagine what will happen if their numbers increase,” he said, addressing a press conference at the BJP State office here. Patra gave a call to the voters of Hyderabad to resist the designs of some parties seeking two flags, two chief ministers and two governments, and said Indians may require a visa to visit the old city in future.

“One MIM legislator says that even the Chief Minister requires permission of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi to enter the old city. Is the old city a separate nation?” he asked, adding that BJP will not let the MIM divide the country further. “The Hyderabad MP in an interview to a channel even refuses to accept Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of the country. I still pose the same question to him – is Modi his Prime Minister or not?” he asked.

On the alleged friendly ties between TRS and MIM, he said: “TRS may refuse there is any understanding but everyone knows the party leaders meet at Pragathi Bhavan regularly,” he said.
