Doctor goes missing in SRSP flood flow canal in Jagtial
According to police, Uday Kumar along with two other doctors went to Metal Chittapur of Metpalli mandal in two cars to have a party
Jagital: A doctor Pakati Uday Kmar Reddy (29) went missing in the SRSP flood flow canal near Vittampeta of Metpalli mandal on Sunday. A native of Hanamkonda, Uday Kumar Reddy was working in a private hospital in Metpalli.
According to police, Uday Kumar along with two other doctors Dr Prashanth Kumar, working in Raikal, and Dr Ashok Reddy, working in Metpalli, a hospital owner Atmakuri Raju and another person Lingala Likith Reddy went to Metal Chittapur of Metpalli mandal in two cars to have a party.
While returning to Metpalli, they stopped at the spot. Uday Kumar Reddy and Prasanth Kumar got down into the canal to have a bath. While trying to cross the canal, both the doctors got stuck in the middle as there was heavy water flow and were washed away.
Though Prasanth Kumar managed to reach the bank after some distance, Uday Kumar Reddy went missing.
Knowing about the incident, DSP Umamaheshwar Rao, CI Niranjan Reddy, SI Chiranjeevi visited the spot. A search operation is on for the missing doctor.
