Nizamabad: Doctors at a private nursing home removed a 8 kg tumor from a woman’s stomach through hysterectomy surgery at Yellareddy town of Kamareddy district.
Sunanda (45), hailing from Bachepally village of Narayankhed mandal in Sangareddy district, was admitted to Sri Venkateshwara multi-specialty hospital after she complained of severe stomach pain. Dr B Nageshwar Rao conducted scanning and diagnosed a tumor in her stomach. The doctors immediately performed a hysterectomy surgery for 35 minutes and removed the tumor. The patient’s condition is stable.
Dr. Nageshwar Rao said that many surgeries were conducted earlier in their hospital, but this is the first time to remove 8 kg tumor in its history. Due to negligence, the tumor has gained weight as much as 8 kg and if not treated on time, it could have led to the patient’s death.
