Doctors sensitised to benefits of yoga at awareness programme in Mancherial

Mancherial: A day-long awareness programme was conducted over Yoga among doctors in Mancherial on Sunday. The event was jointly hosted by Indian Medical Association, Mancherial chapter and Mythri Yoga and Nature Cure Centre.
MYNCC founders Dr KN Sukumar, and Dr Sameera Reddy and their training team explained the importance of yoga. They demonstrated various yoga asanas, pranayama or breathing exercises and meditation. They briefed how the ancient science of wellness was useful in controlling chronic disease such as diabetes, hypertension and back pain.
The founders advised the participants to practice yoga and to promote it to their patients. They further said that they were organizing a slew of programmes in the town to mark the ensuing International Yoga Day on June 21. They stated that they were offering yoga training courses at their centre by collaborating with different universities.
IMA treasurer Dr Santosh, renowned orthopedist Dr Thrinath Rao, anesthesiologist Dr VSN Murthy, TGMC member Dr Y Srinivas and others were present.
