Lucknow: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has circulated a video on the social media, chronicling the ‘struggle for Ram temple in Ayodhya’.

The 13-minute video, titled ‘Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Vijay Gaatha’ begins with the struggle for Ram Temple in Ayodhya beginning from 1528 when the temple was allegedly demolished by Mughal king Babar to the demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992 and the launch of the construction for the temple at the site in 2020 after the Supreme Court’s verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit.

“The documentary has been made by actor and director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi. But he has not given his name in the documentary’s credit. He has made it as a service to Lord Ram,” said VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal.

VHP sources said that the documentary was essentially for the young generation that may not be familiar with the history of the temple movement and was being misled by vested interests.

The documentary has been launched ahead of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s fund raising campaign for the Ram temple that is scheduled to begin from January 15.
