Domestic help held for stealing gold from employer’s house in Hyderabad
Saroja was produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police on Wednesday arrested a woman domestic help on charges of stealing gold ornaments from her employer’s house at the Income Tax Colony. The arrested suspect was identified as T. Saroja, 30, a domestic help and resident of Nandinagar.
According to the police, on March 15, a complaint was lodge by Bhaskar, working as a superintendent at the Income Tax department stating that about 10 tolas of gold ornaments went missing from his house and that he strongly suspected the role of an insider.
“During investigation, over suspicion, the suspect was taken into custody and during interrogation, she confessed to the crime. She was working in the complainant’s house for over a year now and was aware of the place where valuable things are kept in the house,” police said.
Saroja was produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
