DOST 2026: 14,975 students get seats in special drive phase

The TGCHE has released the DOST 2026 special drive phase seat allotment, with 14,975 students receiving provisional seats. Candidates must complete online self-reporting by August 18 and report to their respective colleges on August 17 or 18.

Hyderabad: A total of 14,975 students received provisional seats as part of the DOST 2026 special drive phase seat allotment released by the TGCHE on Friday. Of the total, 12,069 candidates got a seat against their first priority and 2,906 against their second and other priorities.

As for faculty-wise allotment, 6,198 seats in commerce, 2,798 in physical science, 3,080 in life sciences, 2,878 in arts and 21 in other streams were allotted.

All candidates who secured a seat have been asked to reserve the same through online self-reporting via the DOST website https://dost.cgg.gov.in/ on or before August 18. They need to pay Rs.500 or Rs.1,000, as the case may be, in the DOST candidate login.

Further, candidates who self-report online have to report to the respective colleges either on August 17 or 18 and submit the college confirmation OTP. If a candidate fails to report to the college, then he/she will forgo the seat allotted/self-reported.
