Hyderabad: Families displaced during lake restoration will be provided double-bedroom houses, AV Ranganath, Commissioner, Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa), said.
A press release on Friday said the government decided to grant double-bedroom houses to poor people who lost their homes during the lake restoration process, following a decision taken by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to ensure no injustice was done to the victims.
Ranganath met the affected people on Friday near Sunnam Cheruvu in Madhapur and Ramanthapur Lake in Uppal constituency, and informed them of the Chief Minister’s decision to provide double-bedroom houses to all poor people who lost their homes during lake restoration.
A Hydraa official said officials were preparing the list based on Google Maps and satellite images to prevent discrepancies, and were collecting data on residents who were there before July 19, 2024.
