Hyderabad: Hyderabad men and women’s teams emerged champion of the 50th Telangana State inter-district handball championship for men and women, conducted by Hyderabad District Handball Association at the Osmania Science College, Saifabad.

In the men’s section, Hyderabad defeated Warangal 31-28 while the women’s team outplayed Warangal 14-5 for the top honours.

Meanwhile, Karimnagar men got the better of Ranga Reddy 14-10 for the third place finish. Mahabubnagar women’s team downed Khammam 12-7 in the match held for the third spot.
