Peddapalli: Telangana State Police Housing Corporation Limited Chairman Koleti Damodar on Wednesday said construction of district police office buildings for 13 newly formed districts and two police commissionerates had been taken up in the State, each at a cost of Rs 15 crore. “Construction works are in various stages in different districts,” he said.
Works of Siddipet police commissionerate office and Kamareddy district police office buildings were in final stage. They will be inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao soon, he said.

He said construction of new police stations were taken up after formation of Telangana State. Even rural police stations have been constructed along with modern facilities by spending Rs 2 crore. Works of Anthergoan, Ramagiri, Bheemaram and Kannepalli police stations were under progress. Besides the Sircilla police battalion, DPO offices of Sircilla, Jagitial, Nirmal, Asifabad were also under progress, he stated.
Talking about the police guest house being constructed at Godavarikhani, he thanked NTPC and Singareni managements for supporting financial and other assistance.
He informed that he has put a proposal for construction of 3,000 seating capacity welfare centre at Godavarikhani. He submitted Rs 3 crore proposal to IT and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao.
All the works of the police housing corporation have been taken up in a transparent manner by inviting online tenders, he said.
