DPS Mahendra Hill: Carols, skits mark Christmas celebration
Children spoke about the importance of Christmas even as they showcased their flawless communication skills
DPS Mahendra Hills (Feeder School of DPS Nacharam) reverberated with the melody of Christmas carols on December 23 as the school organised a special assembly to celebrate Christmas. A play was enacted explaining the importance of the festival which was followed by the rendition of a Christmas song.
Children spoke about the importance of Christmas even as they showcased their flawless communication skills.On watching their friends in the play, little ones could relate to it and understand the theme of the festival better. The entry of Santa Claus infused energy into the virtual meeting as children were all excited.
These activities taught little ones the joy of celebrating all the festivals with loved ones. Principal Dr Sunitha Rao and Headmistress Neetu Gupta Puri emphasized that having a generous spirit allows one to show how much he or she cares for others. Christmas brings cheer and love. Celebrating the festival was aimed to teach the lesson of hope and optimism amidst pandemic to students, the school said.
