Prepare and prevent, don’t repair and repent, this adage has much relevance in the context of road safety. To raise awareness about traffic rules and reduce the number of road accidents that happen every day, DPS Mahendra Hills (feeder school of DPS Nacharam) celebrated Road Safety Week.
During the week-long celebration of this campaign, a variety of educational banners, safety posters, safety films, pocket guides were prepared by the students and were shared with the classmates and teachers during the online assemblies conducted as part of the celebrations.
Principal Sunitha S Rao explained to the children about the methods and necessities of road safety and how they must understand the use of helmets or seat belts while driving. Children can play a vital role in spreading the message of road safety and act as ambassadors of the safety drive in society.
