DPS Nacharm: A plethora of fun-filled events mark Humanities Week
A crucial topic like Sustainable Development – the need of the hour held a mirror to the social responsibility.

DPS Nacharam organised Humanities Week to celebrate and explore all that which makes us human. The amalgamation of technology and creativity to bring the richness of the human experience to students and the wider public was the goal, the school said. The event started with the celebration of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
Filled with patriotic fervour it was a reinforcement of all that makes India special. Guest of the day Saroj K Mallick, DIG-NISA administered the pledge followed by a mesmerizing presentation of Ek Bharat Shresth Bharath.
Principal Dr Sunitha S Rao extolled the students for their performance and motivated them to find solutions to various issues and things. A wonderful collaboration between the various streams of Humanities resulted in a plethora of activities ranging from the multidimensional cuisine of India to the quiz learning curve that helped refresh knowledge of the world around.
A crucial topic like Sustainable Development – the need of the hour held a mirror to the social responsibility. ‘Kaleidoscope’ – an expression of the inner artist by Fashion Studies students, ‘A stitch in Time’ showcasing different regions and My India, My Perspective showcased the mind-boggling variety that humanities boast of.
The special guest for the second-day programme, Dr Pragya Rashmi spoke about the need for sound mental health especially in the pandemic-ridden world. The second guest Commandant Anup Kumar’s message of resilience, courage and teamwork was a huge takeaway for the audience.
The event was live-streamed on Facebook. The declaration of results was followed by the release of the Newsletter written and designed exclusively by the students themselves. Senior Vice-Principal Nandita Sunkara reiterated that humanities are a way of life and appreciated the efforts of the students, coordinator Dr.Shelly and the staff.
