Dr Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan receives US Congressional Medallion and Proclamation

Hyderabad: Dr Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, India, has been honoured with both the United States Congressional Medallion and the United States Congressional Proclamation — two of the highest recognitions granted by the US Congress. The honours were conferred during an official ceremony held at Capitol Hill, Washington, DC.
The recognitions were presented by US Congressman Jonathan L Jackson, Member of the US House of Representatives (1st Congressional District of Illinois) and an esteemed member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the House Committee on Agriculture, a press release said.
The Congressional Medallion is a prestigious honour recognising exemplary leadership and contributions to society, diplomacy, and global development. The Congressional Proclamation is a rare and distinguished recognition awarded to individuals whose contributions hold national or international significance, the press release added.
