Hyderabad: The release of ‘Kakatiyam Telangana Natyam’ book and Abhinaya lecture programme researched and designed by renowned Kuchipudi dancer and Natyaguru Dr G Padmaja Reddy will be held at Rabindra Bharathi on December 4.

In a statement on Tuesday, Dr Padmaja Reddy explained that with the intention of having a special dance for the State after the formation of Telangana, for the past ten years, she researched the sculptures of temples in the surrounding areas of Warangal, Nritta Ratnavali written by Jayapasena, along with many texts, discussed with dance scholars and brainstormed and developed the Kakatiyam dance.


Dr Padmaja Reddy said this book has been published by Delhi National Book Trust and added that she will present her research details before the book launch on December 4. Her disciples will demonstrate the same points.
